"It's got heaps and heaps of very cool words and descriptions and illustrations".  Keiller

"The big dictionary has all the shapes in it that we were talking about.  There are great pictures that help us too".   Caitlin

" felt really proud getting my dictionary because it will help me with all the words I need and it tells me what the words mean".  Siang Pi

"Today we got dictionaries from people from the Rotary Club.  My dictionary really helped me with my spelling activity today".  Mackenzie

Matariki slide show

Last week Ms. Richards told us about Matariki and how to make a kite.  We needed paper and a Matariki picture, sticks and tape.  I had a hard time flying my kite.  I threw my kite away because it got ripped in the wind.  We had afternoon tea back at school.  I loved the shortbread.  The shortbread ran out and I got cross.  Then we put on our headbands and started Matariki.

Kite flying

The whole Middle Syndicate went to The Broads to do kite flying.  Room 19, Room 17 and Room 16 went to do kite flying.  It was fun for all of the classes.  Some people's kites got tangled and some people's kites got ripped.  We made the kites for Matariki.  We made lanterns for Matariki too.  It was very muddy over at The Broads.   It was very windy and there were hundreds of people.  It was exciting because we could run pass the gate and down the hill.
